Kick-off for project SECMAR

On Wednesday, September 4, Blue Science Park organized a kick off in Karlskrona, Sweden for the new international project SECMAR (Secure Digitalization for Sustainable Maritime Transport). The project is being implemented together with Blekinge Institute of Technology, Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia and Klaipeda Science and Technology Park and the Maritime Development Center in Denmark. Lead partner is Blue Science Park.

The project is part of the Southern Baltic Sea Program funded by the European Regional Development Fund together with Region Blekinge. The goal is to build up the expertise of the Baltic Sea in the area of ​​secure maritime digitization.

– This is, among other things, about the vessels effectively getting out and entering the ports. And at the same time, make sure that digital technology is safe. It should work for its own part, but also be safe against external attacks, says Magnus Forsbrand at Blue Science Park.
